My roommate was just diagnosed with diabetes. What are some foods that may appear to be healthy but are bad for diabetics. For example, I heard they should not eat carrots.

Is it possible to have not had diabetes your entire life but then you have something happen where you need to take many different medications and from taking all those medications you get diabetes?

Diabetics have it tough during this time of the year, especially children, because we cannot indulge in all the sweet treats that start emerging from ovens and kitchens all over. This recipe goes easy on the carbs, while giving kids with diabetes an option to snack on cupcakes that are yummy and healthy.
