Diabetes is a disease in which your body is unable to properly use and store glucose (a form of sugar). Glucose backs up in the bloodstream — causing your blood glucose or “sugar” to rise too high.

The different types of Diabetes:
There are two major types of diabetes.
Type 1(also called juvenile-onset or insulin-dependent) diabetes, in this type of diabetes the body completely stops producing any insulin (a hormone that enables your body to use glucose found in food). As is evident with the name, this type of diabetes affects young adults. Also, people with Type 1 diabetes are totally insulin deficient and therefore must take daily insulin injections to survive.
Type 2(also called adult-onset or non insulin-dependent) diabetes, in this type of disease, the body does produce insulin, but not enough to properly convert food into energy. This form of diabetes usually occurs in people who are over 40, overweight, and have a family history of diabetes.
Different features of Diabetes:
Though people with diabetes experience many symptoms, the presence of the classical triad of:
1. Being very thirsty
2. Increased hunger
3. Having to go to the bathroom very frequently to urinate is virtually diagnostic of diabetes.
In addition following symptoms may also be present:
1. Weight loss
2. Wounds that don’t heal
3. And/or extreme unexplained fatigue
In some cases, there are no symptoms — this happens at times with type 2 diabetes. In this case, people can live for months, even years without knowing they have the disease. This form of diabetes comes on so gradually that symptoms may not even be recognized.
Who gets diabetes?
Diabetes can occur in anyone but the presence of following factors increases the likelihood of getting diabetes.
People who have close relatives with the disease.
People who are over 40 and overweight
People of African-American, Hispanic or Asian heritage.
Also, people who develop diabetes while pregnant (a condition called gestational diabetes) are more likely to develop full-blown diabetes later in life.
Home Remedies for Diabetes Control
Here are those 8 simple home remedies which can be used to control diabetes include:
1. One of the best diabetic home remedies involves consuming fenugreek seeds. About ninety to hundred seeds should be left overnight in a cup of water. In the morning, the seeds should be mashed and their mixture should be drunk at regular intervals. Doing this technique for two to three months can cure diabetes.
2. Another home remedy involves drinking bitter melon soup or eating it fried (salt can be added for taste). Juice of bitter melon can also be drunk to treat diabetes.
3. A mixture of gooseberry powder and turmeric powder should be prepared and then consumed with honey. One can also drink juice made from turmeric and gooseberries on empty stomach. Another cure includes drinking grape juice regularly.
4. Mango leaves can effectively cure diabetes and the sufferer should boil few leaves in morning and then drink it on an empty stomach.

Diabetes Control
What is diabetes? Why do we need to slash down our sugar intake?
Since we all know that diabetes is a life treating condition, we cannot just simply relax and be comfortable about it. People don\’t have any choice but to quit their in-taking of sweets because their health is at risk. Sugar is sweet to healthy people, but when being a diabetic, sugar has a bitter taste which is the usual reaction of a person experiencing a syndrome disorder in their metabolism called diabetes mellitus or diabetes for short. Diabetes, is a disease that causes the body to metabolize sugar poorly, which occurs when either the body attacks the cells producing insulin, the chemical that allows the metabolizing of sugar in the body\’s cells also known as (Type 1 diabetes) and the body\’s cells ignore insulin (Type 2 diabetes). People giving up sugar is not impart of their free will, it\’s because they need to give sugar up for health reasons.
Types of Diabetes
Aside from the fact that diabetes is all about high level of sugar in the body, another common thing is that this disease will last for a lifetime. Either of the 3 types of diabetes, if not properly treated and medicated and if not being implemented regularly may lead to heart attack, eye problems, nerve damage, gum disease, kidney problems and more. Type 1 diabetes is characterized by loss of the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas leading to insulin deficiency. Gum disease and loss of teeth can also be a result of improper diabetes treatment. However, treatment for type 1 diabetes can become burdensome for some. In spite of researchers intense studies, the permanent cure for the diabetes disorder is still unknown.
Diabetes Treatment
A health care team may help you take care of your diabetes as well as you doctor, dentist, diabetes educator, dietitians, friends and family. Learn to make wise choices for your diabetes care each day. Stay at a healthy weight and maintain a good body weight. Be aware what type of diabetes you have and look for other remedies that will help.
Alternative Diabetes Cures Through the Herbal Way
When our body malfunctions or suddenly experience any abnormality, it may only conclude that there is something wrong within. In order start a alternative regimen, the expert needs to look into your medical history and look for some factors such as, physical, mental, psychological and emotional symptoms of a person. Since we are talking about health problems, the most common disease that is greatly known today is diabetes. The medical expert should look for the main complications, modalities and the root cause of your diabetes because the result of the assessment will tell the expert which medical approach to take. When saying herbal, means to treat with components that are made from plant extracts. Some people encourage others to try homeopathic remedy for diabetes because of the costly prescription medicines. If diabetes is not treated well, this could lead in complications like renal failure, impotence, hypoglycemia and a nervous breakdown.

Clinical diabetes mellitus is a syndrome of disordered metabolism with inappropriate hyperglycemia due either to an absolute deficiency of insulin secretion or a reduction in the biologic effectiveness of insulin or both. Type 2 diabetes is primarily the result of poor diet and lack of exercise (unfortunately the lifestyle of many Americans) which leads to obesity and diabetes. The total costs for treatment and care of diagnosed diabetic patients in the United States in 2007 was 4 billion. Type 2 diabetes mellitus accounts for 80-90% of diabetes cases in the United States and is associated with an increased risk for a number of life-threatening complications. These include heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure, blindness, kidney disease, nervous system disease, amputation, and complications of pregnancy and surgery. Probably not coincidentally, all of the above complications are associated with insufficient nitric oxide (NO) production. Endothelial dysfunction with reduced NO generation and bioavailability plays a key role in the pathogenesis of diabetic vascular disease and complications and likely serves as the key link between metabolic disorders and cardiovascular disease. The statistics are staggering.
Heart disease and stroke
• In 2004, heart disease was noted on 68% of diabetes-related death certificates among people aged 65 years or older.
• In 2004, stroke was noted on 16% of diabetes-related death certificates among people aged 65 years or older.
• Adults with diabetes have heart disease death rates about 2 to 4 times higher than adults without diabetes.
• The risk for stroke is 2 to 4 times higher among people with diabetes.Pharmaceutical companies have been attempting to develop drugs around Nitric Oxide for years.
High blood pressure
• In 2003–2004, 75% of adults with self-reported diabetes had blood pressure greater than or equal to 130/80 mmHg, or used prescription medications for hypertension.
Blindness
• Diabetes is the leading cause of new cases of blindness among adults aged 20–74 years.
• Diabetic retinopathy causes 12,000 to 24,000 new cases of blindness each year.
Kidney disease
• Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure, accounting for 44% of new cases in 2005.
• In 2005, 46,739 people with diabetes began treatment for end-stage kidney disease in the United States and Puerto Rico.
• In 2005, a total of 178,689 people with end-stage kidney disease due to diabetes were living on chronic dialysis or with a kidney transplant in the United States and Puerto Rico.
Nervous system disease (Neuropathy)
• About 60% to 70% of people with diabetes have mild to severe forms of nervous system damage.
Amputation
• More than 60% of nontraumatic lower-limb amputations occur in people with diabetes.
• In 2004, about 71,000 nontraumatic lower-limb amputations were performed in people with diabetes.
Cost of Diabetes
6 billion for direct medical costs
billion for indirect costs (disability, work loss, premature mortality)
After adjusting for population age and sex differences, average medical expenditures among people with diagnosed diabetes were 2.3 times higher than what expenditures would be in the absence of diabetes.
Although we have not conducted any clinical trials directly in diabetic patients, we are getting unsolicited feedback from diabetic patients who have been taking Neo40 for several months, that their fasting glucose is better managed, they have more energy and several have even reduced their anti-diabetic medications. Of course you should consult with your physician before any of these measures are taken.
We have preliminary indication from a small trial in Korea using our Neo40 product in diabetic patients. Neogenis recently shipped Neo40 Daily to a group of Korean physicians that treat chronic diabetes patients – those for whom medication cannot control their glucose levels. The doctors chose ten patients, took a baseline blood draw, then put them on a twice daily regimen of Neo40 Daily. They were instructed not to change anything else in their daily routine. After one week, the patients returned for another blood draw. 100% had at least a 50% decline in their glucose levels. Needless to say, the doctors are ecstatic. As evidence, there was a Korean language layout of our package on our fax machine bright and early the next day!
The fact is that although most FDA approved medications are effective at lowering fasting blood glucose but the cardiovascular side effects are sometimes detrimental . Avandia is the most recent example of such a drug that is very effective at treating diabetes but the increased incidence of heart attack and stroke in patients taking Avandia have cause the FDA to pull from the market. The complications of diabetes as mentioned above are clearly a result of insufficient nitric oxide production. Until we begin to restore NO production or homeostasis in the diabetic population, we will not see any long term benefits of traditional therapies. Neo40 may be the answer to restoring NO homeostasis in diabetic patients. We will keep you posted on the results from our trials.

Is Caffeine Necessary For Weight Loss Supplements?
With the explosion on the market of 4 hour+ energy shots that contain zero caffeine, I question the value of caffeine in weight loss products and energy pills in general. One major problem is that there are so many sources of caffeine in the diet, including coffee, chocolate, soda pop (diet and regular) and now just about every dietary supplement. Most pre-workout NO products contain some form of caffeine.

Nitric Oxide for adults over 40: getting what you need
Nitric Oxide is one of the most critical molecules for cardiovascular health. It’s naturally produced in our bodies and maintains proper circulation. But by the time we are 40, we are producing about half of what our bodies need. Most people associate Nitric Oxide with the body building products on the market that feature l-arginine. But adults over 40 can’t convert l-arginine to Nitric Oxide. My article outlines this dilemma and suggests ways to restore Nitric Oxide for the 40+ crowd

Is there a relation between diabetes and mental disorders?
Mar 20th
Question by Cookie: Is there a relation between diabetes and mental disorders?
I´ve read that the brain needs glucose to function and that it cannot save glucose, due it is necessary to provide it constantly. Is there a relation between diabetes and mental disorders?
Best answer:
Answer by Purple
I don’t think there is. I have never heard of there being a direct relationship between the two. But I guess if you have either one and you can’t manage it or control it, it may cause the other to occur. Or if the person has an eating disorder and they eat a lot and can’t control that, that may cause type 2 diabetes.

Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. There are 20.8 million children and adults in the United States, or 7% of the population, who have diabetes. While an estimated 14.6 million have been diagnosed with diabetes, unfortunately, 6.2 million people are unaware that they have the disease. Diabetes can cause many complications. Acute complications (hypoglycemia, ketoacidosis or nonketotic hyperosmolar coma) may occur if the disease is not adequately controlled. Serious long-term complications include cardiovascular disease (doubled risk), chronic renal failure (diabetic nephropathy is the main cause of dialysis in developed world adults), retinal damage , nerve damage (of several kinds), and microvascular damage, which may cause erectile dysfunction (impotence) and poor healing. About 3 to 8 percent of pregnant women in the United States develop gestational diabetes. As with type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes occurs more often in some ethnic groups and among women with a family history of diabetes.
Diabetes affects more than 20 million Americans. About 54 million Americans have prediabetes. Diabetes, without qualification, usually refers to diabetes mellitus, but there are several rarer conditions also named diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease. An autoimmune disease results when the body’s system for fighting infection turns against a part of the body. In diabetes, the immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. The most common form of diabetes is type 2 diabetes. About 90 to 95 percent of people with diabetes have type 2. This form of diabetes is most often associated with older age, obesity, family history of diabetes, previous history of gestational diabetes, physical inactivity, and certain ethnicities. About 80 percent of people with type 2 diabetes are overweight. About 65 percent of deaths among those with diabetes are attributed to heart disease and stroke. Uncontrolled diabetes can complicate pregnancy, and birth defects are more common in babies born to women with diabetes.
In type 1 diabetes, symptoms tend to develop rapidly, over a couple of weeks, and are more severe. In type 2 diabetes, symptoms develop slowly and are usually milder. At least 65 percent of those with diabetes die from heart disease or stroke. Diabetes treatment depends on the type and severity of the diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is treated with insulin, exercise, and a diabetic diet. Type 2 diabetes is first treated with weight reduction, a diabetic diet, and exercise. Regular exercise is especially important for people with diabetes. It helps with blood sugar control, weight loss, and high blood pressure. People with diabetes who exercise are less likely to experience a heart attack or stroke than diabetics who do not exercise regularly. Metformin this is often the first medicine that is advised for type 2 diabetes. Sulphonylureas for example, glibelclamide, gliclazide, glimerpirizide, glipizide, gliquidone, increase the amount of insulin produced by your pancreas.

Step 1
Define each condition of Diabetes
Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (IDDM)
This chronic disease develops at a young age. Patients having IDDM experiences inability to make insulin in their own bodies, due to pancreatic beta cell defect. Insulin injection is required to control the blood glucose serum (BGS). 10% of all Diabetics experiences insulin insufficient. This condition when untreated can cause cells to break down protein and fat. This action causes a development of weight loss and production of partially broken down fats called ketones.
Non-insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (NIDDM)
This chronic disease develops at middle age or older. Patients having NIDDM are unable to absorb or use insulin effectively. This is due to elevated fat tissue blocking insulin absorption mechanism. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) diets are recommended to help control BGS and weight status. 90% of all diabetics are experience insulin resistant. This condition causes glucose to slowly enter the cells. This causes BGS to go back to the liver to be converted in to triglycerides in order to be stored in fat cells, which will causes weight gain. Therefore, it is important to plan all diabetic diets to be lower in fat and cholesterol.
Uncontrolled Diabetes
This is a condition of BGS below or above normal optimal level. Patients who are experiencing NIDDM are at risk of Hyperosmolar Hyperglycemic Non-Ketotic (HHNK). This condition occurs when the BGS is above 600 mg/dL. Patients having IDDM are at risk of Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA). This condition occurs when the BGS is above 240 mg/dL.
Hyperglycemia
It occurs when the BGS is above 180 mg/dL. The diabetic will experience symptoms of extreme thirst (polydipsia), frequent urination (poluuria), ketones in the urine (ketonuria), ketones in the blood (ketonemia), drowsiness, blurred vision, and acetone breath. Beginning symptoms of Diabetes will cause a pronounce effect. Over a period of time some of the symptoms will become less pronounced causing the diabetic to overlook warning signs, which can become hazardous for the patient.
Hypoglycemia
It occurs when the BGS is below 70 mg/dL. The diabetic will experience shaking, dizziness, impaired vision. This is caused by poor function of body cells that are in a state of starvation. Therefore, it is important to plan calorie controlled diet, exercise, and medication regiment.
Rebound Effects
There are two types of rebound effects such as Dawn Phenomenon and Somogyi effect, which are common for uncontrolled Diabetes. Patients who have NIDDM may experience Dawn Phenomenon. This condition occurs early in the morning when hyperglycemia conditions develop due to insulin sensitivity decrease between 4:00 AM and 9:00 AM. This is possibly due to a surge of growth hormones or glucocorticoids. Somogyi effect is caused by an overdose of insulin. This would cause hypoglycemia to develop, which in turn causes a release of hormones that stimulate break down of fats (lipolysis), breakdown of glycogen (glycogenolysis), and developing of glucose from alternative nutrients (gluconeogenisis). This would lead to increase source of whole and partially formed glucose that promotes hyperglycemia and development of ketones (ketosis). Treatment involves gradually lowering the insulin dose to achieve an optimal BGS level.
Step 2
Balancing meals
This is important throughout the day are a critical part for diabetics. This allows three meals and two snacks each day. It is recommended never to skip or become excessive with a meal. These guidelines will help a person with diabetes to have a normal and healthy life. Their meals must be well balanced with foods from all of the food groups. Caloric clocks, Glycemic Index, food balancing charts are healthy techniques to help calorie distribution throughout the day. Caloric clock is a pie chart of carbohydrates being converted into four servings, which is ideal for each meal per day. Glycemic index is a chart of food items ranking from high to low. Items that are ranked high are rapidly absorbed sugar sources, which will cause hyperglycemia. Items that are ranked low are slowly absorbed and generally safe for diabetic. Blending and balancing foods chart is a chart of two columns consisting of carbohydrates and non-carbohydrate food items. This chart gives the diabetic person the freedom of selecting food items to form a balance meal.
Step 3:
Eating a variety of foods
It will help insure diabetic to receive proper nutrients. Diabetic will be exposed to all food groups such as fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meat, skim milk, and whole grain wheat. Fruits contain both simple and complex carbohydrates. Non-starchy vegetables also contain a small amount of complex carbohydrate. Milk contains some carbohydrate in the form of lactose. . Carbohydrate control is a key nutrient to understand with diabetes. This nutrient is found in many foods and is designed to provide our bodies with fuel. Carbohydrate can be found in two forms in foods. Simple carbohydrates are already in the form of absorbable sugar.
Food guide pyramid, dietary guidelines, and ADA diets are healthy techniques to help diabetic to a variety of nutritional foods. Patient receive a specific calorie level diet, which require them to eat more controlled amounts of foods at each meal in order to control their BGS and weight. ADA has developed an accepted system for planning calorie-controlled diets for diabetics. When diets are planned according to this system it is called ADA diets such as 1200 calorie ADA diet. All food categories and servings are included in these healthy techniques that will help insure good food choices. Proper nutrition through diabetic diets is planned using a variety of nutrients from the food groups to assure that all the important nutrients are provided in the diet.
Step 4:
Avoid simple sugar or sweets
It is important andnecessary to help control BGS. There is a large category of bad choices such as syrup, jelly, honey, cakes, pie, cookies, candy, chips, and soda containing high amounts of sugar. These items are hard to avoid in a daily routine, and even harder during holidays to avoid.
Proper intake of complex carbohydrate (CHO) is a healthy technique consists of making good food choices. This is a complex sugar that takes longer to break down in the body to provide glucose. Complex carbohydrates are what we usually call starches. Examples of complex carbohydrate foods are bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, corn peas, crackers, etc. The carbohydrates in these foods must be broken apart and broken down to sugar during digestion. The body needs 55-60% of CHO from total calories consume per day. Unrefined carbohydrate with fiber is a better source than sucrose and other refined sugars. It allows the diabetic more control of their BGS.
Step 5:
Choose lean meat and low fat dairy product
It will help decrease excessive fat intake. Preventing bad choices such as fried foods, high fat meat items, whole milk, and regular cheese will help control weight and cholesterol level. Persons with diabetes often also have too much fat and cholesterol in their blood, and they are four times more likely to have heart disease than the non-diabetic person.
Protein facts and dairy guidelines are healthy techniques to help diabetics to choose lean meats and low fat dairy items. Healthy protein choices provide types of protein sources such as different quality of meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, & nuts. It is recommended to consume two to three servings per day. Meat items are excellent source of protein, iron, Zinc Vitamin B-12. Protein intake of 15-20% of total calories per day is recommended to strengthen blood, muscle, and body structure. It is important to pay attention to portion size and fat content. Dairy intake is recommended three to four servings per day. Healthy choices consist of fat free & low fat items. Dairy is an important source of calcium, protein, and vitamin D.
Step 6:
Fruits and Vegetables
If selecting canned fruits it is important to choices fruits packed in water or natural Juice. It is equally important to avoid fruits packed in heavy syrup. This will help avoid simple sugars and insure normal BGS. Fruits and vegetables facts are healthy techniques, which allow the diabetic better food choices. It is recommended three to five vegetables and two to four fruits servings per day. These food items are fat free and a great source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
Step 7:
Fiber
Daily intake of insoluble fiber is important for bowel function. Soluble fiber helps slow down rapid sugar absorption to allow BGS to become more stable. Fiber also decreases the risk for heart disease and some form of cancer. It lowers your calorie intake by helping you to stay full longer. Fiber facts are healthy techniques for diabetics to maintain about 20-35 grams per day. Good fiber choices such as fruits, vegetables, cereal products, and whole grains are necessary to help maintain these benefits.
Step 8:
Fluid Intake
Fluid intake helps with body’s hydration status and proper hydrolysis of nutrients for absorption. This is why it is important to consume eight cups of water daily. Water facts are healthy techniques consists of reaching for a glass of water when you are thirsty instead of a soda.
Step 9:
If you got to have sugars try sugar substitutes
Sugar substitutes such as diet sodas, artificial sweeteners, sugarless gum, and diet gelatin, jelly, and syrups are the best way to avoid simple sugar from sneaking into the diabetic plate and causing havoc on the BGS. Sugar substitute list is a healthy technique to become familiar. It consist of Equal, Sweet N’ Low, Sugar Twin, and Sweet One that are important to prevent hyperglycemia. It is also very important for the diabetic person to spread the carbohydrates that he/she eats out over the course of the day as well, rather than eating it all at one meal. At one time, it was believed that a diabetic person should never eat foods containing high amounts of sugar such as candies, cakes, pies, and cookies. Now, because we know that many foods break down to sugar anyway, an occasional small piece of high sugar food is considered acceptable, but only if the person’s blood sugar level is well controlled.
Step 10:
Losing the weight
Watch your weight closely and if you need to lose unwanted pounds to better control your diabetes call your doctor first. Fat facts are healthy techniques that are helpful in controlling fat intake. It is divided into three categories such as monounsaturated up to 20%, polyunsaturated fats less than 10%, and saturated fats less than 7%. This should provide 30% of total calories coming from fat. Recognizing the different fat sources such as sunflower, corn, soybean, and some fish are from polyunsaturated fats. Meat, dairy coconut, and palm oil are from saturated fats. Olive, peanut, and canola oil is from monounsaturated fats. These fats provide energy and satiety for the body.
Step 11
Exercise
Exercise at least 3-5 days per week. Before planning daily exercise event ask your doctor if you have any limitations. Always start out slow and do not exert yourself. Exercise plan is healthy techniques, which provides time for a proper warm up, and cool down for low impact activities such as walking. It is important to stretch and wear good shoes are important to prevent injuries as well.
Conclusion
Prevention of multiple types of additional long-term chronic diseases through proper control of the BGS through diet, exercise, and medication is the best technique to control diabetes. When diabetes are left uncontrolled it promotes risk factors such as Congestive Heart Disease (CHD), bone atrophy (Osteoporosis), optical atrophy (Retinopathy), Nervous system atrophy (Neuropathy), and kidney atrophy (Nephropathy).

Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas to control blood sugar. Diabetes can be caused by too little insulin, resistance to insulin, or both.
To understand diabetes, it is important to first understand the normal process by which food is broken down and used by the body for energy.
http://www.himalayahomeremedies.com/homeremedies_diabetes.htm
Diabetes mellitus is a condition where the body cannot maintain normal blood glucose levels.
Insulin is a hormone that helps glucose move from the blood into the cells. When the body does not produce enough insulin, the blood glucose level rises.
Three main types of diabetes affect Australians – type 1 (previously known as insulin-dependent diabetes), type 2 (previously known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
Types of Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes
Type 1 diabetes is an auto-immune illness where the body’s immune system destroys the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. This type of diabetes, also known as juvenile-onset diabetes, accounts for 10-15% of all people with the disease.
Type 2 diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is the most ordinary form of diabetes, moving 85-90% of all people with the disease. This type of diabetes, also known as late-onset diabetes, is characterized by insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency.
Gestational diabetes mellitus
GDM, or carbohydrate intolerance, is first diagnosed through pregnancy through an oral glucose tolerance test. Between 5.5 and 8.8% of expecting women develop GDM in Australia.
Causes of Diabetes
Diabetes mellitus occurs when the pancreas doesn’t make enough or any of the hormone insulin, or when the insulin produced doesn’t work efficiently. In diabetes, this causes the level of glucose in the blood to be too high.
In Type 1 diabetes the cells in the pancreas that make insulin are shattered, causing a severe lack of insulin.
This is contemplation to be the result of the body aggressive and destroying its own cells in the pancreas – known as an autoimmune reaction.
Symptoms of Diabetes
1. Excessive thirst and appetite
2. Increased urination (now and then as often as every hour)
3. Unusual weight loss or gain
4. Fatigue
5. Nausea, perhaps vomiting
6. Blurred vision
7. In women, frequent vaginal infections
8. In men and women, yeast infections
Treatment of Diabetes
The major goal in treating diabetes is to reduce any elevation of blood sugar (glucose) without causing unusually low levels of blood sugar.
1. Do regular exercises and yoga
2. Lose weight
3. Eat fiber rich foods
4. Drink eight to ten glasses of water daily
Type 1 diabetes is treated with insulin, exercise, and a diabetic diet. Type 2 diabetes is treat first with weight reduction, a diabetic diet, and exercise. When these measures fail to control the elevated blood sugars, oral medications are used.
Home Remedies for Diabetes
1. Boil 15 fresh Mango leaves in 1 glass of water. Leave all night. Filter this water and drink first thing in the morning. It is a successful home remedy for diabetes
2. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of ground bay leaf and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric in 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel. Take this mixture two times a day sooner than lunch and dinner. It is also good diabetes mellitus treatments.
3. Drink a watery juice of a small Bitter Gourd (remove seeds) every morning. It is one of the most outstanding home remedies for diabetes.
4. Add 3-table spoon of cinnamon to 1 litre of boiling water. Simmer for 20 minutes in a low flame, and then strain the combination. Drink this combination daily to cure diabetes.
5. Eat tender curry leaves (fresh) twice a day to reduce sugar.
